A chance encounter with an American dervish teacher Khadija Radin in 2006 drew Anupa Mehta, an art consultant and writer, deeper on the path of Mevlevi Sufism and Hz Pir Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi. Over the years Anupa met several teachers and guides in Turkey and elsewhere. Leading her on a quest to develop aşk™, a non profit effort, which aspires to promote Sufism through learning initiatives, seminars, workshops, experiential retreats, tours, festivals and lived experience to foster newer, spiritually aligned communities globally.

It seemed fitting then that aşk’s inaugural event take place in Konya, Türkiye this year in collaboration with the International Mevlana Foundation.
