Esin Çelebi Bayru
22nd generation granddaughter of Rumi

The 22nd generation granddaughter of Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi, was born in Aleppo in 1949 and educated in Istanbul, graduating in Arabic and Persian Philology from Istanbul University. She serves as Vice President of the International Mevlana Foundation, where she helped lead initiatives recognized by UNESCO, including the designation of Sema and Mevlevi music as cultural heritage and the declaration of 2007 as the International Mevlana Year. An editor, author, and speaker, she promotes Mevlana’s universal teachings worldwide through books, lectures, and media appearances, and received an honorary PhD from Star King School for the Ministry for her contributions to global unity, peace, and justice.
Celal Çelebi
Senior dervish and descendant of Rumi

Born in 1977, Çelebi is deeply rooted in the spiritual and cultural legacy of the Mevlevi order and the teachings of Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi. Actively engaged since the 1990s, he has contributed to global dialogue on Sufism and intercultural understanding, carrying forward his family’s heritage. He has delivered lectures at leading institutions including Harvard University and the University of California, Los Angeles. Based in Geneva, he lives with his family while balancing his role as Managing Director at Union Bancaire Privée. He remains committed to fostering dialogue across cultures and generations through Mevlevi tradition.
Nadir Kalbibüyükler
A senior dervish of the Mevlevi Order

Born in 1959, Kalbibüyükler serves as Postnişin with authorization from Faruk Hemdem Çelebi, a descendant of Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi, and has led the Konya branch of the International Mevlana Foundation for over 15 years. Dedicated to sharing Mevlevi culture globally, he has participated in Sema ceremonies, Sufi music, and symposia across continents. Rooted in the inner path of Sufism, his work blends poetry, contemplation, and teaching, presenting Mevlevi wisdom as a lived experience. Through evocative language and spiritual reflection, he invites audiences toward self-discovery, conveying universal truths of love, remembrance, and inner transformation.
Ismail C Fenter
A senior dervish of the Mevlevi Order

Fenter, MA, MDiv, MTh, MM, was born and raised in the United States and has spent nearly five decades teaching and translating theological and spiritual works. Deeply engaged with the Mevlevi tradition, he became a semazen and, in 2025, received the destar of a Mesnevihan from Faruk Hemdem Çelebi, a descendant of Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi. Based in Konya with his wife since 2021, he teaches and interprets the Masnavi through his ongoing online course, guiding global audiences in the study of Mevlevi wisdom and spiritual tradition.
